Tuesday 16th August sees a very special collaboration between secretsundaze and London's seminal live AV music show, the Boiler Room. The boiler room usually broadcast live from Corsica Studios but this time they are making a special broadcast from a intimate rooftop location in Hackney-Wick.
The boiler room started out as a small bunch of DJs putting on a weekly DIY show from deep within a disused boiler room in a secret London warehouse. The show rapidly grew larger and larger and prompted a move to Corsica Studios to accommodate their new found followers. With each show gaining more and more fans the guest DJ's got bigger and better each time, having had the likes of Theo Parrish, Scuba, George Fitzgerald, Space Dimension Controller, Floating Points and Ramadanman perform for them already.
Founding member, Blaise Belville says 'We've gone from having 50 of our mates watching online to up to 15,000 or 25,000 people during our most popular shows like the James Blake and the Jamie XX ones,' 'And then there's 100,000 people and upwards reposting and replaying the podcast every month. The space has got bigger - there used to be about 30 people max in the room, and now our guestlist requests exceed 500 each time. It's invite-only, but there's still about 150 people there every week.'
- TIMEOUT, 2011
'The Biggest nightlife success of the past year blurs the line between an online club and a radio show.'
- R&S RECORDS, 2011
'Boiler room plays a very important part in the surround culture of underground electronic music'
